Today, competition in the market is no longer only about the product itself. Understanding customer needs and providing suitable solutions has also become an important part of business development.

With the theme “Value Creation · Winning Through Solutions,” this year’s Marketing Competition focused on real business situations and customer needs. The competition encouraged participants to look beyond the product and think about how to create more value for customers through practical solutions.

After the preliminary round and competitions across six regional divisions, 14 participants eventually advanced to the final stage. Through real customers, real business challenges, and real solutions, the competition provided an opportunity to exchange ideas about value marketing and customer-oriented business practices.

HUAWEI LASER Actively Participates in the Competition

HUAWEI LASER actively participated in this year’s competition.

As a laser equipment manufacturer, HUAWEI LASER works with customers from different industries and markets. In daily business, understanding the customer’s actual application and production needs is an important part of recommending the right laser equipment.

Therefore, the theme of this competition was also closely related to HUAWEI LASER’s daily work. Instead of focusing only on product features, participants were encouraged to consider the customer’s business situation and find more suitable solutions.

Betty Achieves 5th Place in the Preliminary Round

Among the HUAWEI LASER participants, Betty achieved 5th place in the preliminary round with her presentation titled:

“From One Machine to Four: Exploring New Paths for Chinese Manufacturing Through the Russian Automotive Repair Market.”

The presentation was based on a real business case from the Russian automotive repair market.

Instead of simply introducing a laser machine, Betty focused on understanding the customer’s actual business needs and exploring how additional requirements could be identified through communication with the customer.

The case started with the demand for one machine and eventually developed into an opportunity involving four machines.

For Betty, the case showed that customer communication is not only about introducing products and discussing prices. By understanding what the customer does, what problems they face, and what equipment they may need in different working scenarios, it becomes possible to provide more suitable recommendations.

Learning from Real Business Cases

The “Value Creation · Winning Through Solutions” competition provided HUAWEI LASER with an opportunity to review some of its daily business practices.

For overseas markets, different customers have different working environments, applications, and purchasing requirements. A product that works well for one customer may not necessarily be the best choice for another.

This is why customer communication and application understanding are important when introducing laser equipment.

Betty’s presentation also showed how a real customer case can provide useful ideas for sales and marketing. Starting from the customer’s actual situation, identifying potential needs, and then matching products with those needs can make the communication process more efficient and practical.

Continuing to Focus on Customer Needs

Participating in this competition was a valuable learning and exchange opportunity for HUAWEI LASER.

The company will continue to pay attention to customer needs and application scenarios while providing laser cutting, laser welding, laser cleaning, robotic welding, and other laser processing equipment.

Through more direct communication with customers and a better understanding of their applications, HUAWEI LASER will continue to improve its approach to customer service and solution development.

Betty’s 5th-place result in the preliminary round is also an encouraging achievement for the HUAWEI LASER team. More importantly, the real business case behind the presentation provided a practical example of how understanding customers can create new opportunities.
